Join the Tzu Chi Greater Washington DC Region in preparing students for the 2022-23 school year.

For more than 15 years, the Tzu Chi Greater Washington DC Region has collaborated with local schools to support children and families from low-income households across Virginia and Maryland. From July 1 to August 15, we aim to raise $10,000 towards our 2022 Backpacks for Kids campaign.

Each backpack will be filled with school supplies that will benefit more than 350 students from low-income households. These items will include…

• notebooks
• folders
• loose leaf paper
• pens and pencils
• markers and colored pencils
• …and more!

• JoAnn Leleck Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD
• Rosa L. Parks Elementary School in Hyattsville, MD
• Summit Hall Elementary School in Gaithersburg, MD
• Carole Highlands Elementary School in Takoma Park, MD

With a donation of just $25, you can help us provide the school supplies one child needs to get a strong and confident start to the school year. What’s more, parents and caregivers will be able to save money on these necessary items, giving their limited budgets much-needed relief.
